Showcase your skills.

Spotlight your accomplishments.

Seize career opportunities.

You’ve heard it’s a career best practice to have a LinkedIn profile. So you likely created a basic profile, added some experience from your resume, and thought that was sufficient. Sound familiar?

If you aren’t actively job hunting, you may not think your LinkedIn profile is anything you need to worry about. But things can change in an instant.

Employment is not guaranteed.

So you need to be prepared for career opportunities.

With the pandemic, more companies are interviewing exclusively using digital tools and relying on social profiles to screen candidates.

If you want to impress them, you need a powerful LinkedIn profile! A profile that not only showcases your personal brand and work experience, but also highlights your skills and accomplishments with work samples.

You need to leverage LinkedIn as your social portfolio!
But how do you do this?

One of the frustrations a lot of people face when completing their LinkedIn profile is not knowing what to include and how much information to add in each section. It’s hard to write about yourself, and think of accomplishments for each position if you aren’t consistently tracking them.

And once your profile is complete, you may wonder how to ask people to connect with you in an authentic way that doesn’t feel forced or self-promoting.

This is why we created our new 5-Day Challenge!

LinkedIn is the social portfolio component of the three-part strategy we teach for professional portfolio development. This strategy includes a print, social, and digital portfolio. Implementing any one of these portfolio tools individually can make a huge difference in your career. Using all three is exponentially powerful! During this 5-day challenge, we’ll focus solely on the social portfolio using LinkedIn.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time is required?
  • You should plan to spend 20-30 minutes each day watching the video tutorial and reviewing the materials.
  • You’ll also need at least 30 minutes of implementation time each day to get a start on each day’s plan of action.
I don’t have a LinkedIn account. Can I still participate?

Yes, we will help you create an account on the first day.

I already have a LinkedIn profile. Do I still need this challenge?
Is your profile complete? Are you showcasing work samples in featured media, on your work experience, and in the education and projects sections? If you answered “No” to any of these questions, then this 5-day challenge can help you.
I already bought your “How to Create a Powerful Social Portfolio Using LinkedIn” Course. How is this 5-day challenge different?

The course is designed to teach a more do-it-yourself approach with a few checklists to help you get started. This 5-day challenge is broken down into daily plans of action with support and accountability in our private Facebook group. It includes daily support to help you implement.

What kind of support do I get if I get stuck?
Jaclyn and Julie will be accessible to answer questions and provide coaching in the private Facebook group daily. And you can email them with questions if you aren’t comfortable posting things in the Facebook group.
What if I don’t have work samples I can use?
We will show you how to find or create appropriate work samples you can include on your profile.
I don’t want my manager to think I’m job hunting if they see I’m updating my profile. How do I avoid this?
We will show you how to turn off notifications so your network connections don’t receive updates that you’re making changes on your profile.
I’m not job hunting right now. Do I still need this?

Ideally, you want to create this BEFORE you need it. We recommend starting now so that it’s ready to actively share if and when you need it.

I already have a standout resume. Why do I need a LinkedIn profile?

LinkedIn is where many companies start their candidate search. So your profile needs to be complete and impressive if you want to show up in searches. Your LinkedIn profile allows you to expand on your resume with more details and work samples which provides further proof of your skills and accomplishments in a visual way.

Is everything available immediately?

The 5-day challenge materials are available to you as soon as you receive your registration confirmation email in your inbox. That email should arrive within 10-15 minutes of completing the registration process.

How long will I have access to the 5-day challenge materials?
You will have unlimited access to the challenge materials and can watch the videos as many times as you want. If we ever retire the program or refresh it, we’ll give you advance notice so you can watch it again before we make changes to it.
Can I share this with a friend?
No. Your registration is a single user license. If you have friends or colleagues who want to participate, they need to register individually.
Is there a guarantee?

Yes. If you follow our daily plans of action, and still aren’t able to complete your LinkedIn profile after 30 days, we will work with you one on one to help you get it accomplished. If for any reason, you still aren’t successful, we will offer you a full refund. That’s how confident we are that this 5-day challenge can help you get your social portfolio created.

Can I access the challenge without the Internet?

No.

Are you ready to create a LinkedIn profile you feel confident about?

With more than 87% of recruiters using LinkedIn to source candidates for open positions, you cannot afford to have a wimpy profile. A complete profile with work samples can be the difference between a recruiter learning more about you instead of just scrolling past!

Using your LinkedIn profile to showcase your skills, accomplishments, and work samples in a tasteful and professional way will help you stand out from the crowd in ways you never imagined. Get your LinkedIn profile spiffed up for prime time in just five days!

We hope you’re as excited about this new 5-day challenge as we are creating it for you! We look forward to seeing you in the challenge!
